CUTLER, Ruth M. Irwin, 89, of Cutler, passed away at 7:32 A.M. Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at her home in Cutler, IL. Ruth was born January 24, 1920 in Willisville, Illinois the daughter of John Higgerson and Angie (White) Higgerson. She married Freddie H. Irwin on December 15, 1938 in Perryville, MO. He passed away on January 12, 2000. Ruth was a homemaker in her own home and she attended Grace Church in Chester, Illinois. She is survived by her children: Carol Gladson of Laclaire, Iowa, Gene and Jeanne Irwin of Winter Haven, Florida, Linda and Gale Reidelberger of Pinckneyville, IL, Lisa and Carl King of Sparta, Illinois; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, seven brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Church in Chester, IL. Pastor Ron Coleman will be officiating. Burial will be at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8pm and then on Friday from 7:30 to 9am at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville then from 10 to 11am at Grace Church in Chester, Illinois. The preferred form of remembrance is to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
