STEELEVILLE, Ruby S. Rodewald, 88, of Steeleville, passed away at 4:00 PM Friday, April 6, 2012, at Chester Rehab & Nursing Center in Chester, Illinois. Ruby was born December 28, 1923 in Jacob, Illinois the daughter of Arthur and Martha Knoll Stueve. Ruby married Roy H. Rodewald on Saturday, June 15, 1946 in Jacob, IL. Roy preceded her in death on July 28, 1997. Ruby was a retired Nurse's Aid from Memorial Hospital in Chester. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point and a former Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the LWML of Immanuel Lutheran Church; Immanuel Quilters; a former Hospice volunteer and she formerly volunteered for Western Egyptian. Ruby is survived by two sons, Steve (Dawn) Rodewald of Steeleville and Dennis (Judy) Rodewald of Campbell Hill, IL; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Davis of Percy, IL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruby was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church West Point, with Rev. Tim B. Zechiel officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, West Point. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Utility Building Fund.
