SMITHTON – Ruby Renner, 88, of Smithton, formerly of Coulterville, Illinois, passed away at 12:34 am, Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Ruby was born in Jacob, Illinois, on July 21, 1933, the daughter of William R. and Cora M. Hornbostel Guetersloh.  She married William Renner on August 27, 1954, at Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 2019.  Ruby was retired from Spartan Light Metals.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sparta and Coulterville VFW #6865 Auxiliary.

Ruby is survived by her children, Debbie (Jim) Hurley of O'Fallon, IL, Sharon Campbell of Smithton, IL, Sue (Joe) Lehr of Belleville, IL, and Bill Renner of Cutler, IL; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Col. Ralph (Susie) Guetersloh of Galena, MO; and sister, Barb (Mike) Sanders of Rockwood, IL.

Ruby was also preceded in death by her Parents and two brothers.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Ralph Guetersloh officiating.  Burial will follow at Glenn Cemetery.
