STEELEVILLE – Ruby R. Guebert, 80, of Steeleville, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Ruby was born in Campbell Hill, Illinois on October 30, 1935, the daughter of Henry and Anna Kessel Rodewald. She married Paul D. Guebert on December 19, 1953 at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Ruby was a Homemaker and office worker at International Shoe Company in Chester. Ruby was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. She helped in the church office for many years and served on various church committees. She was a born again Christian.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Paul D. Guebert of Steeleville; her children, Barry (Kimberly) Guebert of Steeleville and Dale (Linda) Guebert of Davenport, IA; and one granddaughter, Katerina Guebert of Steeleville.

Ruby was preceded in death by her Parents and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at the Peace Lutheran Church on Monday from 5 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church or Steeleville Food Pantry.
