PUXICO - Ruby F. Dameron, 90, of Puxico, passed away at 6:45 pm, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois. Ruby was born in Campbell Hill, Illinois on October 13, 1924, the daughter of Alois and Rose Fults Blette. Ruby married William Dameron, Jr. on June 20, 1942 in Perryville, MO. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2001. Ruby was a Homemaker. She was the biggest St. Louis Cardinals fan ever. Ruby was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Wife. She was a cheerleader for Campbell Hill School, and that's where she met the love of her life. Ruby is survived by two sons, Gary (Judy) Dameron of Battle Creek, MI and William (Patti) Dameron of Puxico; one daughter, Pat (Larry) Sims of Puxico; grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Lopreste, Angela (Mark) Lehnhoff, Christina (Chad) Lawrence, Melissa Spiller, Cary Dameron, Bill Ingles, Brad Dameron and Brian Dameron; 10 great grandchildren; and nephew, Bob Schneider. Ruby was also preceded in death by her Parents; her beloved grandson, Jon Dameron, for whom she cared for; one brother, Bob Blette; and one sister, Ruth Schneider. Funeral service will be held at Noon on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, with Rev. Randy Wheatley officiating. Burial will follow in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 11 am until Noon on Monday. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
