MURPHYSBORO – Ruby J. Dallas, 90, of Murphysboro, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Ruby was born in DeSoto, Illinois, on July 16, 1930, the daughter of Charles Carrell and Edith Grace Mifflin Sickler.  Ruby was co-owner of Dallas Survey  Stakes for many years.  Ruby enjoyed camping, trips to Current River, raising her goats, playing cards, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of Berean Christian Church, Murphysboro.  Ruby was married to Bill Dallas for 45 years and he preceded her in death.

Ruby is survived by four children, Patty Grammar of Murphysboro, Billy Kie Dallas of Murphysboro, Danny C. Dallas of Ava, and Bobby D. Dallas of DeSoto; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; many nieces, cousins and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her Parents; one son, Jimmy Carrell Dallas; and two sisters, June Williams and Gae Pedigo.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Ava Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Easton officiating.  Burial will follow.  Memorials may be given to Ava Evergreen Cemetery in Ruby's memory, and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
