CAMPBELL HILL – Roslyn N. Steele, 86, of Campbell Hill passed away at 9:33 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Manor Court in Carbondale.
Roslyn was born on June 11, 1931, in Willisville, the daughter of Edward and Thusnelda (Wagner) Goetting. She married Paul K. Steele, on November 26, 1950 at Campbell Hill, and they shared 67 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. John's (Post Oak) Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill.
Mrs. Steele is survived by her husband; Paul K. Steele, of Campbell Hill, children; Paula (Bruce) Luthy, of Chester, Glen (Tamara) Steele, of Percy, and Lee Ann (Sam) Carson, of Ava, 6 grandchildren; Bruce (Andrea) Luthy, Megan (Mike) Knop, Alicia (Josh) Niemeyer, Adam (Rachel) Carson, Ethan (Becky) Carson, and Khrystyne (Daniel) Bunselmeyer, she is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Roslyn was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Victor, and Carl Goetting.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the St. John's (Post Oak) Lutheran Church where friends may call from 1 to 3 PM, there will be a private family funeral service to follow with Rev. Cecil Dunning, and Deb Rathert, Lay Minster officiating, and private burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. John's (Post Oak) Lutheran Church. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is entrusted with the arrangements.
