MUPRHYSBORO - Rosetta Verseman, 90, of Murphysboro, passed away at home on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Rosetta was born in Pomona, Illinois, on November 24, 1934, the daughter of Elmer and Ada Hagler Jackson. She married Archie Verseman on December 18, 1954 at Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2020. Rosetta was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro for 86 years. She worked at the First Bank and Trust Company for 21 years and was the Church Secretary at Elm Street Baptist Church.

Rosetta is survived by her children, Debra (Roy) Loman of Broken Arrow, OK, Jeff (Shari) Verseman of Highlands Ranch, CO and David Verseman of Murphysboro; and her brother, William D. (Sylvia) Jackson of Columbus, OH.

Rosetta was also preceded in death by her Parents.

Funeral service will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11 am with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Murdale Garden of Memory in Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, on Wednesday from 10 am until 11 am.
