Obituary

Rosalie Ruth 'Lee' Bicket (nee Webster), age 71, of Aurora IL died at 10 am December 25, 2016. She was born February 8, 1945 in Sparta IL, the daughter of Albert Leroy Webster and Florence Marie (Prest) Webster of Marissa IL.  Lee was an active member of her church community and a devoted wife, mother of two sons, and grandmother of three active grandsons and a precious granddaughter. She attended college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale from 1963-1966. She married Dennis S. Bicket of Sparta IL on November 25, 1966, and when he was deployed to Vietnam, she lived on Oahu and finished her college degree, graduating from the University of Hawaii in 1971. She even obtained her private pilot's license in 1981. Lee was faithfully involved in Calvary Church in Naperville IL, serving as Calvary Church School secretary for 11 years, singing in the church choir, serving as church Deaconess, and initiating and leading a Bible study group in the subdivision where she and Dennis lived. Her caring, her kindness, her strength, and her enduring faith touched many in her life.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Bicket of Aurora IL, their son Ryan Bicket and wife Deanna (Buchan) - grandsons Aiden, Alex, and Andrew of Bossier City LA; their son Jason Bicket and wife Catrina (Taber) - granddaughter Vivianna of Claremore OK; her sister Alberta (Webster) Tawney of Allentown PA; her sister Karen (Webster) Hitzemann of Swansea IL; her brother William Stanley Webster and wife Mary (Wagner) of Chester IL; her brother Ronald Gene Webster and wife Sandra (Pruitt) of New Castle PA; her sister-in-law Diane Bicket of St. Louis; her brother-in-law Douglas Bicket of Sparta IL; nephew Brian Fegley of Austin TX; nephew Eric Fegley of Catasagua PA; nephew Glenn Fegley and wife Tammy of Allentown PA; nephew David Webster and wife Jenny (Gerlach) of St. Louis; nephew Phillip Webster of New Castle PA; nephew Brent Bicket and wife Lisa (Rees) of Belleville IL; nephew Steven "Nick" Bicket and wife Trish (Loos) of Chester IL; nieces Diana Webster of Norwich VT, Angela (Hitzemann) Trask and husband Ric of Red Bud IL, and niece April (Hitzemann) Walker and husband Jason of Millstadt IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Florence, who both died in 2004, by her niece Paulette Webster, by her mother-in-law Geraldine (Kloth) Bicket who died in 2013, by her sister-in-law Martie (Grove) Bicket who died in 2015, and by her father-in-law Wendell "Bud" Bicket who died in 2016.

Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home at 24021 W. Royal Worlington Drive in Naperville IL. Visitation will continue at Calvary Church Chapel at 9s200 State Route 59 in Naperville IL from 10-11 am on Saturday, January 7, 2017, with the funeral service beginning at 11 am - Pastor Ron Markese officiating. Sparta IL area visitation will be held at Tilden Presbyterian Church in Tilden IL on Tuesday, January 10 from 4-7 pm. Burial at Union Cemetery will be a private family-only service on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

Naperville funeral arrangements through Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes. Sparta arrangements through Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville IL.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Church Naperville Benevolence Fund or Calvary Church Naperville Missions Fund – or to Union Cemetery in Sparta IL or Tilden Presbyterian Church in Tilden IL.
