Obituary
CHESTER – Ronald C. Schifferdecker, 71, of Chester passed away at 1:33 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chester.
Ronald was born on July 25, 1945 in St. Louis, MO the son of Quentin and Alberta (Muehlhauser) Schifferdecker. He married Carol A. Richelman on October 15, 1966 in Campbell Hill and they shared 50 years of marriage. Ronald was retired from Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville, the Marissa Masonic Lodge, Marissa Lions Club, and former member of the Trico Lions Club.
Ronald is survived by his wife; Carol of Chester, two sons; Robert Schifferdecker of Chester, and Scott Schifferdecker of Chester, one granddaughter; Kara Schifferdecker of Caseyville, IL.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening where friends may call from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
