TILDEN, Ronald Rothwell, 70, of Tilden, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born December 12, 1942 in Tilden, Illinois, the son of Roy and Golden (Hauk) Rothwell. Ronald married Helen M. Jarrett on August 31, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Tilden, Illinois. She survives. Ronald was a retired Coal Miner from Peabody Coal, Sparta Portal. He was a US Army Veteran and also a member of Calvary Church in Sparta, IL. He is survived by his wife and children: Rhonda (John) Hancock ,Sparta, IL; Doug (Ella) Rothwell, Phoenix, AZ; Greg Rothwell, Belleville, IL and Gary (Ginnie) Rothwell, Swanwick, IL. Ronald is also survived by 6 Grandchildren: Bethany, Adam, Brooke, Kayla, Brian and Ronald; 1 Great Grandchild, J.J.; and sister Gladys Koch, Marissa, IL. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 1 sister. Per his wishes, Ronald was cremated. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Church in Sparta, IL with Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be at the church, Sunday, from 1:30pm till time of service. Memorials may be made to Calvary Church.
