AVA – Ronald E. Heiman, 69, of Ava, passed away at 4:45 am, Thursday, December 1, 2016, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Ronald was born in Cudgetown, Illinois on September 21, 1947, the son of Harvey and Mary Sadler Heiman. He married Margie E. Tope on August 25, 1967 in Ava, Illinois. Ronald was the pastor at Camp Creek Baptist Church and he worked in the Maintenance Department at Murphysboro Wal-Mart. He was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, Murphysboro.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Margie E. Heiman of Ava; two children, Tracy (Vicki) Heiman of Ava, Melissa (Santiago Ramon) Heiman of Percy; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Kristine) Heiman of Ava, Alyssa (Brandon) Guethle of Ava, Noah Heiman of Ava, Nicole Heiman of Ava, Jacqueline (Terry) Brooks of Willisville, Faith (Ryan Rieckenberg) Brown of Steeleville, Christan Brown of Steeleville, and Ciara Brown of Percy; three great grandchildren, Caleb Hudson, Ronnie Brooks and Rylie Brooks; three brothers, Harvey (Carol) Heiman of St. Elmo, IL, George (Janet) Heiman of Herrick, IL, and Donald (Jeannie) Heiman of Herrick, IL; two sisters, Kathy (Alan) Durbin of Herrick, IL and Debra (Alva) Allen of Herrick, IL; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Heiman of Swanwick, IL; and one brother-in-law, James Jackson of Odenville, AL.
Ronald was preceded in death by his Parents; one brother, William Blaine Heiman; and one sister, Ivory Jackson.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Andrew Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to a Love Fund for the Family or Camp Creek Baptist Church.
