AVA– Ronald Bump, 77, of Ava, IL, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Century Assisted Living, Carbondale, Illinois.

Ronald was born on April 21, 1948, in Chicago, IL, the son of Raymond and Rose (Nadasty) Bump. He married Elizabeth Shannon on August 20, 1977, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro, IL. Ronald had retired, after working as a welder, police officer, metal fabricator, construction, dock builder, mechanic and a business owner. He was of the Lutheran Faith.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bump of Ava, IL, his son, Corey (Dawn) Bump of Coulterville, IL, and his grandson, Caden Bump.

Ronald was preceded in death by his Parents, one brother, Keith Bump, three half-brothers: Robert Bump, Richard Bump, Donald Bump; and one half-sister, Patricia McNulty.

Ronald's wishes were for cremation.
