MURPHYSBORO, Roma F. Beasley, 92, of Murphysboro, passed away at 6:21 P.M. Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Oak Grove Rehab and Care Center in Carbondale, IL. Roma was born September 26, 1917 in Jacob, Illinois the daughter of Tony Dunhouse and Grace (Grizzell) Dunhouse. She is survived by her two grandsons: Eric Beasley of Belleville, IL and Brad and Tara Beasley of Eureka, Mo; two nieces: Karen and Carl English of Wilmington, NC, Toni and Ernest Ware of Memphis, TN, four great nieces and nephews; one daughter-in-law: Nancy Beasley of Belleville, IL, and one great granddaughter: Kylie Beasley of Eureka, MO. Roma is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael Beasley, four brothers and one sister. She was a retired teacher from Lincoln Grade School, Murphysboro, Illinois. She was also a member of the Murphysboro Education Association. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Ava Evergreen Cemetery in Ava. Rev. Tim Foster will be officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Thursday from 10 to 11am Memorials may be made to Murphysboro School District #186.
