AVA, Rolla Wright Jr., 81, of Ava, passed away at 7:56 P.M. Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. Rolla was born January 11, 1929 in Jacob, Illinois the son of Rolla Wright and Eula (Ditch) Wright. He is survived by his brother: Duke and Bonnie Wright of Willisville; sisters: Dorothy Zimmerman of Murphysboro, IL, Emma Wright of Ava, IL; several nieces and nephews. Rolla is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one infant brother. He was a retired Operator from Wright Mobil Station in Ava, IL. He was a member of the Jackson County Farm Bureau and he was of the protestant faith. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. Rev. Cleatus Zimmerman will be officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Saturday from 6-8 PM and then on Sunday from 7:30 am until the hour of Service. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
