STEELEVILLE- Roger P. Zimmer, 65, of Steeleville, passed away at 9;31 A.M. Sunday, August 31, 2008, at his home in Steeleville, IL. He was born on October 2, 1942 in Steeleville, Illinois the son of Paul H. Zimmer and Helen (Welge) Zimmer. Roger married Pamela A. Finner on May 3, 1975 in Steeleville, IL, she preceded him in death on July 20, 2000. He was retired from Spartan Printing Company. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Roger is survived by his children, Roger P. (Anna) Zimmer II of Steeleville, IL; Patricia (Tommy) Reynolds of Steeleville, IL; David (Jami Holcher) Zimmer of Steeleville, IL; Richard (Mary) Zimmer of Nashville, IL; Jennifer (Matt Edwards) Williams of Steeleville, IL; and Helen (Stacie) Korando of Perryville, MO; 17 Grandchildren and one sister, Kathy (Bob) Sprengel of Chester, IL. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild. Funeral service will held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 9am then on Wednesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville from 10 am until 11 am. Memorials may be made to the Steeleville Boy Scout Troop #348 or St. Mark's Athletic Fund.
