PERCY- Roger Smith, 67, of Percy passed away at 10:25am on Sunday December 26, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Roger was born June 4, 1954 in Peoria, IL to Nelson and Augusta Stallins Smith. He married Patricia L. Hagood on November 21, 1981 in Peoria, IL.

Roger was a driver for Fed Ex Freight in Mt. Vernon, IL.  He was a member of Steeleville Baptist Church in Steeleville, IL.

Roger is survived by his wife, Pat Smith of Percy; children: Arminda (Patrick) Reed of Steeleville, Caleb (Nicole) Smith, Haubstadt, IN, Nathanael (Danielle) Smith of Ava; Grandchildren: Eleanor, Landen, Barrett, Jaxon, Charlee and Kylie and brother, Gary (Cindy) Smith of Metamora, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Steeleville Baptist Church in Steeleville, IL with Rev. Dr. Scott Foshie and Rev. Matt Collins officiating. Burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL.  Visitation will be at the Steeleville Baptist Church on Thursday December 30, 2021, where friends may call from 5-8pm and on Friday from 9-11am at the church.  Memorials may be given to Steeleville Baptist Church.
