WATERLOO – Roger W. McNalley, 77, of Waterloo, Illinois, passed away at 12:49 pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Evelyn House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Roger was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 30, 1944, the son of John and Daisey Barnes McNalley.  He married Shirley J. Guebert on May 16, 1970, at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville. He was retired from Bindery and World Color Press, Sparta.  Roger is a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, and has been attending Hope Christian Church, Columbia, IL. Roger formerly bowled on a League.  He liked classic and old cars, and History.

Roger is survived by his wife, Shirley J. McNalley of Waterloo; children, Debra (Stephen) Thurm of Frohna, MO and Jason (Lacey) McNalley of Waterloo; grandchildren, Brandon Thurm, Blake, Alaina and Olivia McNalley; brother-in-law, Paul Guebert of Steeleville; sister-in-law, Judy Guebert of Herrin, IL; and nieces and nephews, Barry Guebert, Dale Guebert, Crystal Goldburg, Mary Zeigler, and Kelly McNalley.

Roger was preceded in death by his Parents; one brother, Ronald; one sister, Marie McNalley; one brother-in-law, Roland Guebert; and one sister-in-law, Ruby Guebert.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 12, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, with Rev. Matt Helfrich officiating.  Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 5 pm until 8 pm, then on Friday from 10 am until 11 am at the church.  Memorials may be given to (OAR) Organization for Autism Research.
