CAMPBELL HILL - Roger Dale "Cotton" McCann, 60, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 4:40 am, Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. Roger was born in Murphysboro, IL on February 27, 1952 the son of James H. and Zelda McClue McCann. He married Marsha Williams on August 29, 1975 at Cutler, IL. He was a mechanic for PJR & Associates in Campbell Hill. Roger is survived by his wife, Marsha McCann of Campbell Hill; daughter, Regina (Frank) Hickam of Cutler, IL; son, Joshua (Courtney) MCCann of Campbell Hill; four grandchildren, Kathrine Hickam (Fiancee, Travis Phelps), April Hickam, Abigail Hickam, Chloe Hickam; one great grandson, Vincent James Phelps; family pet, Rocky; mother, Zelda McCann of Ava; brothers, Johnnie Lee McCann of Steeleville, James H. McCann of Freeburg, IL, Tracy McCann of South Carolina; and sisters, Shirley Anheiser of DuQuoin, IL, Sadie Brooks of Ava, and Linda Bukovac of Sorento, IL. Roger was preceded in death by his Father and brother, Larry McCann. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Blu Berner officiating. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday. Memorials contributions can be given to the American Cancer Society.
