STEELEVILLE, Robert C. Schwarz, 87, of Steeleville, passed away at 1:07 P.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. He was born February 4, 1923 in Pinckneyville, Illinois the son of Carl Schwarz and Lydia (Wildermuth) Schwarz. Robert married Margaret Prange on July 11, 1953 in Wine Hill, Illinois. Margaret passed away on January 15, 1993. Robert was retired from Sparta Printing Co. and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL. He is survived by his two sons: Ronald L. Schwarz of Steeleville, IL, Neal R. (Debbie) Schwarz of Steeleville, IL; daughter: Donna K. (Rev. Dr. Alan W. )Janneke of Steeleville, IL; grandchildren: Kory and Heidi Janneke of St. Louis, MO, Christopher Schwarz of Steeleville, IL, Caitlin Schwarz of Steeleville, IL; great granddaughter: Kiernan Janneke; brother: Gerhardt and Edna Schwarz of Pinckneyville, IL; sister: Clara Abernathy of Grover, MO; sister-in-law: Laverna Schwarz of Pinckneyville, IL; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Edgar. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Marks's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Jack Belk will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville on Thursday from 5 to 8pm and then on Friday from 7:30 to 11am and then from 12 to 1pm at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
