AVA, Robert T. Schult, Jr., 65, of Ava, passed away at 11:55 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Rehab & Care Center in Murphysboro, Illinois. Robert was born October 20, 1946 in St. Clair County, Illinois the son of Robert T., Sr. and Ellen Avara Schult. Robert married Carolyn Jean Pulcher on June 16, 1984 in East Carondelet, IL. He was a retired laborer from the Rock Quarry in Columbia, IL. He was a member of the Ava Assembly of God Church in Ava and the Laborers Union. Robert is survived by his: wife, Jean Schult of Ava; children, Julie (Rodney) Reichert of Columbia, IL, Jeannie (Mike) Burkholter of O'Fallon, IL, Bryan (Ruth) Phoenix of Ava, Susan (Tom) Easton of Ava and Roger (Tina) Phoenix of Chester, IL; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra (Joe) Landfried of Columbia, IL and Susie (Tim) Chew of E. Carondelet, IL; and two brothers, Don (Barb) Schult of Columbia and Danny (Kelly) Schult of Millstadt, IL. Robert is preceded in death by his Parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, Illinois with Rev. Wilson E. McWherter officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the MS Society.
