STEELEVILLE – Robert "Bob" S. Schuette, 81, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home in Steeleville, Illinois.

Bob was born on September 25, 1943, in Ferguson, MO, the son of Edwin and Frieda Schuette. He married the love of his life Loretta D. Alms at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill on July 2, 1977. Loretta preceded Bob in death on May 23, 2018. Bob retired from Gilster Mary Lee, Steeleville, IL. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, where he was very active in the Bible Study group, church affairs and served on various committees. Bob especially enjoyed the Father's Day Picnic where he served his homemade lemonade.

Bob leaves behind his family: sister-in-law Marilyn (Don) Sandmann, brother-in-law Maurice (Linda) Alms, brother-in-law Dale Koenig, brother-in-law Ryan Rutherford; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Bob was also preceded in death by his Parents, sister, Patricia Sanich, brother, Ed Schuette, sister-in-law, Vivian (Robert) Earlenbaugh, brother-in-law, Royce Alms, brother-in-law, Donald Alms, sister-in-law Eunice Alms, sister-in-law, Roberta Rutherford, and sister-in-law Sandra Koenig.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Wine Hill), Steeleville, IL, with Mark Sedwick officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday morning, where friends may call from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at the Church. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Steeleville or Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
