STEELEVILLE – Robert G. Rednour, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.
Robert was born on October 28, 1947, in Red Bud, IL, the son of Orville K. and Mary E. (Wilson) Rednour. Robert married Sharon K. Weaver on June 20, 1970, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. He worked at Sparta Printing Company until it closed, then retired from Indox Services in St. Louis, MO. Robert was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. His family was the world to him, he loved going to his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and enjoyed deer hunting.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sharon Rednour of Steeleville, IL, his children: Janice (Mike) Phillips of Steeleville, IL, Craig (Alicia) Rednour of Trenton, IL, Jason (Ashley) Rednour of Steeleville, IL; his grandchildren: Ashley Mines (Dan Rehagen) of St. Louis, MO, Jared Phillips of Steeleville, IL, Grant and Madalyn Rednour of Trenton, IL, Christian Rees, Camden Pierce and Carson Rednour of Steeleville, IL; his sisters, Rosalie (Virgil) Chandler of Baldwin, IL and Linda (Charlie) Bird of Marissa, IL.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters and a sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, 11:30 am, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and on Friday, October 18, 2024, 7:30 – 9:30 am at funeral home, then 10:30 am till time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church – Debt Relief Fund and can be mailed in c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
