CHESTER – Robert L. Glass, 91, of Chester, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at High Point Residence, Chester, Illinois.

Robert was born on March 6, 1935, in Vienna, IL, to Dave and Helen (Reid) Glass. He married Freida M. Miner on March 2, 1957, in Perryville, MO. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2021. Robert was a Truck Driver for Gilster Mary Lee, Chester, IL for several years. He was a member of First Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Chester, IL and Masonic Lodge #72 AF & AM, Chester, IL. Robert enjoyed collecting antiques and camping in his younger years.

Robert is survived by his children: Robert (Sandy) Glass of Rolla, MO, Kevin (Davonna) Glass of St. Charles, MO, Brenda K. Daniels of Willard, MO; his 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Robert was also preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 11:00 am, at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Pastor Richard Lewis officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, IL. Visitation will be Saturday morning, August 29, 2026, where friends may call from 9:00 am, until time of service at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 10:00 am. Memorials may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital and can be mailed to Wilson’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
