AVA, Rita R. McFadden, 72, of Ava, passed away at 12:42 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois. She was born August 27, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of William and Lavern (Linhorst) Rickard. Rita married Charles McFadden on May 25, 1990 in St. Louis, MO. She was of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by her husband: Charles McFadden, Ava, IL; Children: Rick Ernst, Columbia, IL and Tim Ernst, Northvale, Michigan; Grandchidren: Ethan Ernst, Luke Ernst, Ella Ernst, Emily Ernst and Allison Ernst; Siblings: Bob Rickard and Mark Rickard. Rita is preceded in death by her parents. It was Rita's request to be cremated without any service. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
