CAMPBELL HILL - Ricky J. Nagel, 62, of Campbell Hill, passed away 12:51 pm on Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Cadiz, Kentucky. Ricky was born in Murphysboro, Illinois on September 17, 1952, the son of Omer F. and Dixie A. Lively Nagel. He married Vivian Volkman Lawrence on April 1, 2000. Ricky was a school bus driver for Trico School District, Campbell Hill for 15 years. He was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill and U.M.W. of A Local #9905. Ricky enjoyed boating and was a Nascar fanatic. He was restoring a 1969 Camaro and he was going to enter it in the Street Machine National. His wife, kids and grandkids were the light of his life. He always enjoyed entertaining the kids on his bus with his wit and humor. Ricky is survived by his wife, Vivian Nagel of Campbell Hill; his children, Jamie (Sarah) Nagel of Campbell Hill and Sherrie Nagel of Murphysboro; his step children, Stephanie (Chad) Knop of Steeleville and Chad (Chrissy) Lawrence of Campbell Hill; grandchildren, McKenzie, Makayla and Hailey Nagel; step grandchildren, Breanna and Alivia Lawrence and Zachary and Adelynn Knop; his sister, Sherlin (Bill) Richelman of Campbell Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Ricky was preceded in death by his Parents and a Step Daughter, Kristina Lynn. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 6, 2015 at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill with Rev. Matt Kamprath officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Thursday and on Friday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children Hospital or St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
