WILLISVILLE, Richard T. Baker, 81, of Willisville, passed away at 9:25 A.M. Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. He was born October 09, 1930 in Willisville, Illinois the son of Onie R. Baker and Arah (Bailey) Baker. Richard married Melba Salger on March 19, 1950 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL. Richard was the owner of Baker's Bros Oil Co., Ava, IL. He was also a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church , Campbell Hill, IL. He is survived by his wife Melba Baker of Willisville, IL; one daughter: Connie and Ed DeRousse of Sparta, IL; one son: Robert L. (Bobby) Baker of Willisville,IL; grandchildren: Richard and Yasuyo DeRousse of Germany, Amanda and Bill Westfall of Steeleville, IL, Sarah and Greg Jones of Ava, IL, Michael R. Baker and Jodi Richelman of Percy, IL; great grandchildren: Baxley DeRousse, Clayton Westfall, Jordan Jones, Rhett Jones, Greta Jones, Embry Jones, Hunter Baker and Claire Baker; one brother: Bob L. and Pauline Baker of Percy, IL. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Petey DeRousse and one brother, Homer Baker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. Rev. Alan Kornacki will be officiating. Burial will be at Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Monday from 5-8 pm and then on Tuesday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to Trico food pantry.
