ELKVILLE – Rhonda L. (Compton) Jordan, 48, of Elkville, passed away at 4:45 pm, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Rhonda was born in Chester, Illinois, on February 11, 1969, the daughter of Michael W. and Alma Geraldine Brooks Gassel. She married Michael C. Jordan on August 30, 2000 at Murphysboro. She was a Homemaker.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Michael C. Jordan of Elkville; children, Jessica Compton of Elkville and Cody Compton of Elkville; two step daughters, Marie Strum of Lefette, TN and Michelle (Anthony) Jenkins of Scottsville, KY; four step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sister, Tina (Roy Allen) Freeman of Pikeville, TN.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her Parents.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Ruby Popejoy officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 9 am until 11 am Thursday Memorials may be given to Love Fund for the Family.
