STEELEVILLE – Rebecca "Becky" Richter, 66, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL.

Becky was born on November 2, 1957, in Cahokia, IL, the daughter of Frank J. and Evelyn R. (Howard) Moravec. She married Steven Richter on May 4, 2013, in Eden, IL. Becky was retired from Gilster Mary Lee, Inc., Steeleville, IL and was of the Catholic faith. She loved spending time with her family, helping people, camping, and spending time outdoors.

Becky is survived by her husband, Steven Richter of Steeleville, IL, her children: James Nickels of Sullivan, MO, Nicholas Richter of Waterloo, IL; her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, her siblings: Evelyn Moravec, Frank Moravec, Joe Moravec, Mike Moravec, Rick Moravec, Steve Moravec, Reggie Moravec, and John Moravec.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael, and a brother, Tony.

Becky's wishes are for cremation and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
