CHESTER, Randy D. Wahlman, 57, of Chester, passed away at 5:43 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Illinois. Randy was born August 17, 1956 in Sparta, Illinois the son of Ray M. and Evangeline (Rieckenberg) Wahlman. He married Grace DeLuca on August 13, 1984 in Paducah, Kentucky. Randy was a retired Millwright. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He is survived by his: wife: Grace Wahlman, Chester, IL; a son, Joshua (Amanda) Wahlman, Fairview Height, IL; 2 Step children, Jason Higgins, Chester, IL and Travis Higgins, Abita Springs, LA; Mother, Evangeline D Wahlman, Walsh, IL and brother, Alan R. Wahlman, Walsh, IL. Randy is preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, Illinois. with Rev. Harold H. Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 7:30am to hour of service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society.
