WILLISVILLE – Randy Michael "Nip" Thies, 59, of Willisville passed away at 11:25 PM, Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Randy was born on January 3, 1959, in Chester, the son of Melvin and Irene (Hoops) Thies. Nip was retired from the Gilster Mary Lee Cake Mix factory in Steeleville, and was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill.
Nip is survived by his brothers; Gerald (Ruth Ann) Thies, of Percy, Allen (Carolyn) Thies, of Willisville, Melvin Thies, of Willisville, Terry Thies, of Willisville, sisters; Bonnie Faverty, of Carbondale, Diann (Jerry) Moore, of Willisville, Judy McFadden, of Steeleville, Mary Ann (Rick) Bowerman, of Campbell Hill, Connie (Bruce) Shockley, of Lenzburg, Illinois.
Mr. Thies was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Lonnie and Kenny Thies, and 2 brother – in – laws; Royce McFadden, and Daniel Faverty.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, with Rev. Alan Kornacki, officiating, burial will follow at the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, and then on Thursday morning from 7:30 to 9 and from 10 to 11 at the church. Memorials may be made to the Family.
