STEELEVILLE – Randy J. "Rudy" Lindenberg, 63, of Steeleville, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Randy was born in Chester, Illinois, on October 13, 1956, the son of Wilbert H. and Marie Sternberg Lindenberg.  He married Joyce A. Miller on May 18, 1991 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill.  Rudy was retired from Eaton Ind., Pinckneyville, Spartan Printing and also worked at Dorma at one time.  He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Chester; Steeleville Eagles; United Steel Workers; and Eagles DBC.  He retired from Steeleville Fire Dept. after many years of service.  Rudy enjoyed being with his family and he loved the Chicago Cubs, cooking and BBQing.  As Rudy would say, "Don't worry about it."

Rudy is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Lindenberg of Steeleville; three daughters, Jennifer (Zach Young) Lindenberg of Cape Girardeau, MO, Heather Lindenberg of Russellville, KY and Valerie (Lucas) Liefer of Baldwin, IL; one grandson, Henry George Liefer; one brother, Ronald (Connie) Lindenberg of Percy; two sisters, Janice (Richard) McIntyre of Sparta and Joanne Falkenhein of Steeleville; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and many friends.

Rudy was preceded in death by his Parents and one sister, Karen.

Graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, October 9, 2020, at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, with Minister Deb Rathert officiating.  Burial will follow.  Visitation will be on Friday from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville.  Memorials may be given to Steeleville Fire Dept., Siteman Cancer Center or American Cancer Society.  To sign the guestbook visit www.wilsonsfuneralhome.net .  By executive order, face masks are required and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
