AVA – Ramona Jeannine Gale, 93, of Ava, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at her home in Ava, Illinois.

Jeannine was born October 19, 1928, in Campbell Hill, IL, to Albert and Mathilda (Ehlers) Goetting. She married Billy E. Gale on February 15, 1947, in Ava, IL, he preceded her in death on July 29, 1997. Jeannine was retired from Country Companies Insurance, Murphysboro, IL. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Willisville, IL.

Jeannine is survived by her children: Sharon (Allan) Fabian, Judy (Mike) Boegler, Keith (Brenda) Gale, Debby (Ed) Morber, Denise Gale, Kevin (Mary) Gale, Nancy (Curtis) Rickenberg, Mary Kay (Orville, Jr) Alms, Kent Gale, Laurie (Dale) Thomas; grandchildren: John (Melonie) Fabian, Jessica (Jeremy) Tanz, Nathan (Chuka) Boegler, Matthew (Kristie) Boegler, Amber (Ted) Waltemate, Klint (Kerri) Gale, Heather (Jon) Rees, Sara (Travis) Hicks, Heath (Shannon) Morber, Paul Morber, Scott Morber, Jenny (Michael) Metzroth, Michelle (Bill) Martin, Brock (Cheryl) Gale, Brad Gale, Natalie Hamilton, Nicole (Darren) Henderson, Rebecca (Luke) Niemeyer, Jared Alms, Alaina (Tim) Mevert, John (Stephanie) Gale, Kendra (Andrew O'Connor) Gale, Bill Gale, Ben (Cassandra) Thomas, Hayley (Kyle) Easton, Emily Thomas; fifty great grandchildren with one on the way, and two great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Debbie Winter, and her brother-in-law, Gilbert (Judy) Litteken.

Jeannine is also preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mathilda Goetting, siblings: Gene (June) Goetting, Carol Kay Clark; a son-in-law, William J. Sexton, in-laws: John and Ann Gale, Evelyn (Pete) Sabella, Betty Litteken, Hazel (Roger) Mizer, Lyle Winter and Joyce (Don) House.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Willisville, IL, on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:30 am, with Father Leo Hayes officiating. There will be no visitation as her body has been donated. In lieu of flowers, the preferred donation may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
