AVA and WATERLOO, Ralph North, 81, of Waterloo, IL, formerly of Ava, IL passed away at 10:30 P.M. Friday, July 09, 2010, at his home in Waterloo, IL. Ralph was born March 21, 1929 in Beech Grove, Arkansas the son of John Thomas North and Arminta (Thurston) North. Ralph married Margaret I. Stout on March 28, 1953 in St. Louis, MO. Ralph served in the US Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Ft. Lewis, WA. He was a member of the Sato Baptist Church in Ava. He was a Warehouseman for Westinghouse Electric in St. Louis, MO. Ralph was a devoted husband and father. Ralph is survived by his wife, Margaret North of Waterloo, IL; two daughters, Gail (Mike) Delaney of Collinsville, IL and Anita (Roger) Johnson of Waterloo, IL; three sons, C. Steven (Stephanie) North of Troy, MO, John T. (Cindy) North of Walterboro, SC and Wayne A. (Sharon) North of Florissant, MO; 12 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Hattie Horne of Clinton, TN; and two brothers, Buford North of Spring Hill, FL and Marvin North of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Don Caraway officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Tuesday from 11 am until 1 pm. Memorials may be made to Sato Baptist Church.
