MURPHYSBORO - R. Dean Titsworth, 67, of Murphysboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his home.
Dean was born in Litchfield, Illinois, on October 10, 1950, the son of Howard I. and Elsie E. Brown Titsworth. He married J. Lynn Williams on November 20, 1970 in Butler, Illinois. He was a Construction Laborer, Coon Hunter and Mule Man. Dean was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Murphysboro; Paul Stout American Legion Post #127, Murphysboro; Heartland Mule Riders; and Oraville Coon Club.
Dean is survived by his wife, Lynn Titsworth of Murphysboro; two sons, Andy (Jill) Titsworth of Murphysboro and Joe (Gayla) Titsworth of Harrisburg, IL; grandchildren, Colten, Levi and Maysa; mother, Elsie Kahl of Hillsboro, IL; brother, Wayne (Kathy) Titsworth of Summershade, KY; and sister, Mary (Bill) Currie of Litchfield, IL.
Dean was preceded in death by his Father.
It was Dean's wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Pleasant Hill Christian Church.
