CAMPBELL HILL – R. Wayne Holcomb, 79, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at his home in Campbell Hill, Illinois. He was born on May 4, 1945, in Steeleville, IL, the son of Roland and Leola (Rickenberg) Holcomb.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Judi, his daughters: Bridget (Curt) Throop and Michelle (Dennis) Kontz; his stepchildren: Richard Dresel, Susan Dresel, Jeff Dresel, Jack (Hillary) Dresel; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons, and one niece.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Debra Holcomb McCarthy and brother-in-law, Jim McCarthy.

It was Wayne's wishes for Cremation and a Graveside service will be held on August 10, 2024, 10:00 am, at Looney Springs Cemetery, Campbell Hill, IL with Gabe Bartok officiating. Memorials may be given to Maple Creek Hospice and can mailed in c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
