PERCY – Quentin L. Miller, 70, of Percy, passed away at 2:30 pm, Friday, March 25, 2016, at his home in Percy, Illinois.
Quentin was born in Coulterville, Illinois on August 20, 1945, the son of the late Frank W. and Florence Homan Miller. He married Yvonne M. Simon on June 25, 1969 in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. Quentin was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a retired Iron Worker from Rednour Steel, Cutler and was a member of Alma Lodge #497 A.F. & A.M. in Steeleville.
Quentin is survived by his wife, Yvonne Miller of Percy; two children, Sharon Sue (Jimmy) Moore of Percy and Nicole (Cory) McClurken of Percy; three grandchildren, Dalton Moore, Rayanna May Moore and Jacob McClurken; and his little buddy, Carter; four brothers, Merle Miller of Campbell Hill, Roy (Jo Dean) Miller of Cutler, Ronald (Tammy) Miller of Cutler, and Kenneth (Karen) Miller of Percy; and four sisters, Wanda (Don) Snyder of Pittsfield, IL, Patsy Spann of Pittsfield, Cheryl Hardy of Cutler and Lavonna (Roy) Conway of Cutler.
Quentin was preceded in death by his Parents; two brothers, Vernon and Frankie; and one sister, Lavonne.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Calvary Church in Sparta with Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 9 am until 10 am at the church. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois, American Cancer Society or Calvary Church in Sparta.
