WILLISVILLE – Phyllis Henson, 88, of Willisville, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at her home in Willisville, IL.

Phyllis was born October 6, 1936, in Cutler, IL, to Walter and Nettie (Lipe) Eaton. Phyllis married Phillip M. Henson on September 22, 1956, in Washington County, MS. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2012. Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of Denmark Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, and mowing grass.

Phyllis is survived her son, David Henson, grandchildren: Jessica Graff and Nettie (Brian Pat) Thomas; her great grandchildren: Kaylei Schmidgall, Katelin Conway, Brayci Graff, Alicia Thomas, and Paige Thomas; her great great grandchildren, Braxten Schmidgall and Case Thomas, and her sister, Margie Qualls of Sparta, IL.

Phyllis was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 1:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Marty DeRoche officiating. Burial to follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday morning, where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service.
