SPARTA – Peggy L. Haberman, 69, of Sparta, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at her home in Sparta, IL.

Peggy was born February 5, 1952, in Decatur, IL, to Ernest and Joyce Mialum O'Rella. She married Larry Haberman on August 1, 1992, in Sparta, IL, he preceded her in death on July 8, 1997. Peggy was retired from Sparta Light Metals, Sparta, IL, after 33 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL.

Peggy is survived by her children: Dennis (Brandy) Lawless of Sparta, IL, Terri (Ray) Evansco of Collinsville, IL, Steve (Heather) Haberman of Wylie, Tx, Debbie (Brian) Meyer of Red Bud, IL, Alan (Christal) Haberman of Sparta, IL; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters: Susie Lampe of Sparta, IL, Angela Kempfer of Sparta, IL; and brother, Brian O'Rella of Coulterville, IL.

Peggy is also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Lawless.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Matt Helfrich officiating. Burial to follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Sunday, December 26, 2021, where friends may call from 6 -8 pm.
