STEELEVILLE, Pearl Thelma Alms Ruebke, 88, of Steeleville, passed away at 2:36 P.M. Friday, August 05, 2011, at Chester Rehab & Nursing Center in Chester, IL. She was born July 20, 1923 in Steeleville, Illinois the daughter of Herman Alms and Cora (Ebers) Alms. Pearl married Omer Ruebke on April 11, 1953 in Steeleville, IL. Omer preceded her in death on January 21, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Pearl is survived by one son, Larry Ruebke of Steeleville; one daughter, Lisa (Charles) Austin of Steeleville; grandchildren, Dr. Eric (Jacqueline) Ruebke, Jason Ruebke (Friend, Sherry), April Bennett and Charles Aaron Austin; three great grandchildren, Samantha, Rowan, and Klayton Ruebke; one great great grandson, Jacob Martin. Pearl was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Alice Haefner. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Peter Ill officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Monday from 5 to 8 pm and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 9 am and then on Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church from 10 to 11 am. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran School.
