STEELEVILLE – Paul W. Tegtmeyer, 84, of Steeleville passed away at 5:02 AM, Thursday, April 19, 2018, at his home in Steeleville.
Paul was born on March 29, 1934 in Campbell Hill, the son of George and Lora (Buescher) Tegtmeyer. He was in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957, he married Eileen R. Waltemate Lampe on February 23, 1964, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, and they shared 54 years of marriage. Mr. Tegtmeyer was a retired painter. Paul was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville.
He is survived by his wife; Eileen R. Tegtmeyer, of Steeleville, 1 step daughter; Lisa Tuetkin, of Sparta, 3 daughters; Mira Dinkin, of Steeleville, Janice Schrage, of Steeleville, Charlotte Dona, of Gordonville, Missouri, 7 step grandchildren, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. Paul is also survived by one brother; Karl Tegtmeyer, of Omaha, Nebraska.
Mr. Tegetmeyer was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother; George Tegtmeyer, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday April 23, 2018, at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. William F. Engfehr, III officiating, burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 5 to 8 PM, and then on Monday from 7:30 AM to 12 Noon at the funeral home and from 1 to 2 PM at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's School or St. Mark's Lutheran Church
