Obituary

PERCY – Paul H. Rubach, 92, of Percy passed away at 1:33 AM, Sunday, April 12, 2020, at the Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Paul was born on March 16, 1928, in Percy, the son of Henry and Anna (Alms) Rubach. He married Lottie Marie Barnes on November 2, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, and they shared 69 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on August 10, 2016. Paul was a retired book binder from World Color Press in Sparta, and a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Percy, Graphic Arts Union, Past member of the Percy Village Board, and active in various community projects.

Paul is survived by his children; Wayne (Deborah)Rubach, of Effingham, Illinois, Cindy Sue (Mark) Prange, of Percy, 4 grandchildren; Holly Dunderdale, Tyler (Lindsay) Rubach, Brad (Erica) Clark, Tricia (Michael) Burns, 2 step grandchildren; Emily (Dustin) Snider, Lori (Jake) Hoffman, 7 great grandchildren; AnnEilise Dunderdale, Ainsley Dunderdale, Hayden Burns, Wyatt Burns, Edie Marie Burns, William Rubach, Henry Rubach, 4 step great grandchildren; Annie and Clara Hoffman, Braelyn and Addilyn Snider.

Mr. Rubach was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Irene Diercks, and Mildred Rubach, and 1 great granddaughter; Sophia Rubach.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held, with burial at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Percy. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
