STEELEVILLE – Patricia L. Knop, 83, of Steeleville passed away at 10:00 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Sparta Community Hospital.

Patricia was born on April 28, 1933 in Perryville, MO the daughter of Edward and Leona (Maddock) DeRoe. Pat married George L. Knop on April 7, 1956 in St. Louis, MO, and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1997. Pat was retired owner of the Orr Drug Store in Steeleville. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville, a member of the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480 of Steeleville, the Kaskaskia VFW Auxiliary #3553 of Chester, and the Steeleville Eagles Auxiliary.

Pat is survived by 2 sons; Timothy (Terri) Knop of Percy, Kelly Knop and Jennifer Hanna of Chester, 3 grandchildren; Raven Vasquez, Randy Vasquez, and Corey (Malerie) Knop, and 4 great grandchildren; Chole, Stella, Madelyn Knop, and Gavin Knop. She is also survived by 2 step granddaughters; Holli Dethrow, and Kristin (Brandon) Sternberg, and 2 step great grandchildren; Charlie and Hayden.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; Dorothy Zahner, and a good friend; Harold Keebler.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 5 to 8 PM, and then on Wednesday from 7:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the Steeleville Senior Center.
