Obituary Notice CUTLER - Pastor Blu Berner, 43, of Cutler, passed away at 7:28 am, Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Blu was born in Kingston, New York on March 28, 1970, the son of Alan M. and Martha J. Russell Berner. He married Christine D. Hofmann on April 30, 1994 in Apopka, Florida. He was the Pastor at the First Baptist Church in Cutler. Blu was a veteran of the US Marine Corp., having served from 1991 until 1995. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cutler. He spent years working with World Changers, and organization that rebuilds homes for the needed. Blu is survived by his wife, Christine Berner of Cutler; his children, Bradley Berner, Lilian Berner and Emili Berner, all at home; his mother, Martha Berner of New York state; his brother, Brian Berner of New York state; and his sister, Alison Berner Solis of New York state. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Danny Sinquefield officiating. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 11 am. The preferred form of remembrance are memorials to the Family.
