WATERLOO, Orville H. "Butch" Bockhorn, 84, of Waterloo, formerly of Steeleville, passed away at 3:50 P.M. Monday, March 21, 2011, at his home in Waterloo, IL. He was born February 20, 1927 in Blair, Illinois the son of Ernest Bockhorn and Martha (Hogrefe) Bockhorn. Orville married Barbara A. McCree on January 30, 1954 in Ellis Grove, IL. He is survived by his wife Barbara Bockhorn of Waterloo, IL; children: Steve and Julie Bockhorn of Cadiz, KY, Sandy and Michael Kocelko of Naperville, IL, Cathy and Gene Rose of Oswego, IL , Gary and Rhonda Bockhorn of Waterloo, IL, Lori and Jim Cundiff of Western Springs, IL; grandchildren: Chris and Amie Bockhorn, Eric and Tricia Bockhorn, Becky Kocelko, Laura Kocelko, Jennifer Kecelko, Sydney Bockhorn, Abby Cundiff, Bea Cundiff, Charley Cundiff and David Cundiff; great grandchildren: Ella Bockhorn, Emery Bockhorn, Kadence Bockhorn, Aubrianna Bockhorn, Peyton Bockhorn, and Joey Kecelko; brothers: Kenneth and Dot Bockhorn and Willie and Laverne Bockhorn; sister-in-laws: Phyllis Bockhorn and Bernie Bockhorn. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Marvin, Wayne, and Earl. Mr. Bockhorn served in the U.S. Army, during the World War II. He was a retired Pressman from World Color Press, Sparta, IL after 32 years. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, B.B.K. American Legion Post#480, Steeleville, Randolph County Farm Bureau, and Graphic Communication Local #383. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. S. Blake Duncan will be officiating. Burial will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-8pm and then on Friday from 7:30 to 9 am at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville. Then from 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital
