PUXICO – Orville L. Bierman, 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, Illinois.
Orville was born on April 11, 1930, in Campbell Hill, IL, the son of Rudolph and Alberna (Fischer) Bierman. He married Evelyn R. Wittenborn on December 1, 1950, in Steeleville, IL. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2018. Orville was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict, 1951 – 1955. He worked at John Morrell & Company in East St. Louis, IL. Orville was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL, where he was the Treasurer for many years. He enjoyed going to Casino's, eating at buffets, and his cigars. Orville was a very outgoing and personable individual, who will be greatly missed.
Orville is survived by his children: Neal Bierman of Campbell Hill, IL, Gary (Gail) Bierman of Percy, IL, Lynda (John) Livesay of Witt, IL; his 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and his brother, Delbert Bierman of Baldwin, IL.
Orville was also preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Lyndsay Nicole Livesay, a son, Marvin Bierman, and a brother, Glenn Bierman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 3:00 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Clifford Adair officiating. Burial to follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, where friends may call from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL, and can mailed in c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
