STEELEVILLE - Oneida Mahnken, 94, of Steeleville, passed away at 11:51 am, Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester. Oneida was born in Farrar, Missouri on November 5, 1920, the daughter of Ernest and Bertha Lehrs Mueller. She married Ernst F. Mahnken on April 15, 1945 in Farrar, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2009. Oneida was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville and the St. Mark's Ladies Aid. She was a Homemaker and helped operate the family farm. Oneida is survived by her children, Dennis (Sondra) Mahnken of Steeleville, Myrna (Wayne) Eldridge of Sparta, IL, and Lois (Myron) Dudenbostel of Steeleville; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; three sisters, Eunice Roth of Farrar, MO, Eleanor Roth of Perryville, MO, Florence Seffens of Perryville, MO; and one brother, Armin Mueller of Perryville, MO. Oneida was also preceded in death by her Parents; one brother; and four sisters. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Kelly C. Bedard officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Building Fund or KFUO.
