CAMPBELL HILL, Omer F. Nagel, 89, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 9:55 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Illinois. Omer was born May 2, 1923 in Campbell Hill, Illinois the son of Herman and Mary (Niederbrach) Nagel. He married Dixie A. Lively on November 28, 1943 at Campbell Hill, Illinois. She passed away on March 14, 2012. Omer was a retired farmer and school bus driver and former owner and operator of Percy and Ava Feed Mills. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill and also a former board member of the Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation. Omer is survived by his son: Rick (Vivian) Nagel, Campbell Hill; daughter: Sherlin (Bill) Richelman, Campbell Hill,Five Grandchildren: Jeff Richelman, Greg (Tracy) Richelman, Shellie Richelman, Jamie (Sarah) Nagel, Sherry Nagel;Two Step Grandchildren: Chad (Steffanie) Knop and Chadrick (Chrissy) Lawrence; Six Great Grandchildren: Jonovan Richelman, Gannon Richelman, Clayton Richelman, McKenzie Nagel, Makayla Nagel and Haliey Nagel; Four Step Grandchildren: Breanna Lawrence, Aliviah Lawrence, Zachary Knop and Adelynn Knop; Four Sister -in-laws: Henrietta Bailey, Willisville IL, Dixie Lively, Granite City, IL, Helen Nagel, Steeleville, IL and Ruby Nagel, Campbell Hill, IL. Omer is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 infant daughter, Vickie Lynn, one Great Granddaughter, Kyleigh Erin Richelman and 1 Step Great Granddaughter, Kristina Lynn Lawrence. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St. Luke's Lutheran Church , Campbell Hill, Illinois with Rev. Matt Kamprath officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, where friends may call from 2 to 5pm Sunday and from 7:30 to 9am, then from 10 to 11 am at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Cemetery Fund or Alzheimer's Association
