STEELEVILLE, Norma Stegmann, 86, of Steeleville, passed away at 11:02 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. Norma was born November 11, 1923 in Percy, Illinois the daughter of Henry Gerberding and Emma (Misselhorn) Gerberding. She married Arthur Stegmann on August 27, 1944 in Wine Hill, Illinois. He passed away on June 6, 1989. Norma was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, and St. Paul's Missionary League. She worked as a homemaker in her own home. She is survived by her son: Roger and Marilyn Stegmann of Steeleville, IL; three daughters: Carol and Edgar Rahlfs of Steeleville, IL, Marilyn and Kenneth Diskey of Walsh, IL and Donna and Melvin Stueve of Ellis Grove, IL; ten grandchildren; Eighteen great grandchildren; sisters: Lillian Bollmann of Chester, IL and Ruth Cane of Sparta, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 8pm at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, then on Saturday from 7:30 to 9am and then from 10 to 11 am at the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill. Rev. Tim B. Zechiel of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Wine Hill. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Building Fund or St. Paul's Cemetery perpetual care fund.
