PERCY, Norma Brueggemann, 93, of Percy, passed away at 7:15 PM Saturday, February 11, 2012, at her home in Percy, Illinois. Norma was born October 26, 1918 in Percy, Illinois the daughter of William and Louise (Gielow) Helfers. Norma married Chris F. Brueggemann on May 15, 1938 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Chris passed away on January 18, 2001 . Norma was retired from the Bindery at World Color Press in Sparta, Illinois. She was a member of S. Mark's Lutheran Church of Steeleville, IL. She was also a member of B.B.K. American Legion Post #480 Auxiliary of Steeleville; National A.A. R. P.; Quilting Club at St. Mark's Church; Wednesday Morning Bible Study and former member of St. Mark's Priscilla Club. She is survived by one son: Victor Brueggemann, Waterloo, IL; 4 daughters: Christa Parker, Steeleville, IL; Helen Miller, Hernando, MS;, Perna Stafford, Westcliffe, CO, and Dianne Mines, Sparta, IL; 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren Norma is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 son-in-law. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville , Illinois with the. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 7:30 am until 11 am then from Noon to 1 pm at the church. The preferred form of remembrance is contributions to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois, Orange Team.
